Goodbye Social Media?

So I read this article by Leo Laporte a few days ago.

The gist...the social media sphere is nothing but a big echo chamber. You are yelling out what you think is important...but so is everybody else. In the end...none of it is really that valuable, he thinks blogs are better and microblogging (ie twitter, facebook...is worthless) *forgive me Leo if I over simplified it*

I have to say...I kind of agree with him in terms of twitter. Facebook is another matter...I'll get to that in a second.

To me focus is everything. Nothing great, nothing worthy of time has ever been done without focus.

We live in a world that pulls are attention in billions of directions and I think it does it on purpose. Whether consciously or unconsciously most of the worlds powers (government & private) don't want you to focus too much. I have been working on a secret project for some time now.
Book Review: Wild at Heart

Wild at HeartWild at Heart by John Eldredge

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So, I didn't think I would get much out of this book the second time around. The idea of revised and expanded editions amuse me like "live" albums for musicians...just a way to get more money
